In the weekend’s local football programme, AFC Uckfield Town will be looking to bounce back from their midweek cup defeat at Bexhill, as they welcome second-bottom Alfold to the Oaks
Crowborough Athletic are away at Loxwood, and table-topping Jarvis Brook host Southwater.
In the Mid Sussex League, Rotherfield visit Westfield. Ridgewood take on Crawley Devils at the Uckfield All-weather pitch, while Buxted are at home to Sovereign Saints and Fletching host Portslade. There are also home matches for Maresfield against Fairfield and for Plumpton, who meet AFC Ringmer’s fourth team.
Elsewhere in cup matches, Uckfield United have a home clash with AFC Broadwater, and there are away games for Nutley, Newick and Barcombe.
In the Isthmian Premier Division, Lewes travel up to Essex to face Brightlingsea Regent.
And Brighton and Hove Albion will be aiming to build on last Saturday’s superb victory over Chelsea, as the Seagulls visit struggling Wolves.
In women’s football, Lewes host Bristol City, while Brighton’s ladies visit West Ham – both these matches are on Sunday afternoon.
In local rugby, after their narrow defeat last weekend, Uckfield will be hoping to get back to winning ways, as they visit second-bottom Seaford. Crowborough are also on the road tomorrow – they go to Charlton Park.
