In the weekend’s local football, both AFC Uckfield Town and Crowborough Athletic will look to build on good wins on Bank Holiday Monday.
Uckfield host mid-table Loxwood at the Oaks, while Crowborough go to Alford, who have only one point from their opening five games.
Elsewhere, Jarvis Brook will be aiming to continue their 100% unbeaten record, as they visit Rustington.
In the Mid Sussex League, there’s a local derby, as Buxted take on Ridgewood. Rotherfield are at home to Lindfield. And Uckfield United play their opening match of the season at Wivelsfield Green.
Unbeaten Lewes take a break from league action, as they visit Sheppey in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.
And in the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat at Fulham in midweek, as they welcome Leicester to the Amex Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It’s the final weekend of this season’s Sussex Cricket League, and Buxted Park will clinch promotion with a victory at Crawley Eagles. Isfield, Nutley and Blackboys could also earn promotion with victories in their final games. Meanwhile, Crowborough host local rivals Uckfield Anderida.
Finally, in rugby union, there are friendlies tomorrow for Uckfield, who visit Burgess Hill, and for Crowborough, who go to Lewes.
