Hundreds of racing fans have signed a community petition to save banger and stock car racing at Arlington Stadium in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Eastbourne Borough Council is urging visitors to the 2026 Airbourne international airshow to remain highly vigilant regarding fire safety as soaring temperatures and prolonged dry weather drastically increase the risk of wildfires.

Authorities have issued urgent safety warnings after numerous visitors were photographed standing dangerously close to the crumbling 400-foot cliff edges at Birling Gap and Seaford Head in East Sussex.

East Sussex charity, the Uckfield Millennium Green Trust, has received a £1,500 donation from David Wilson Homes to support the refurbishment of the gravel paths surrounding the Millennium Green.
