In the weekend’s local cricket, Uckfield Anderida were skittled out for just 59, as they went down to a seven-wicket defeat at high-flying Little Common Ramblers’ second team.
Crowborough beat Dicker by three wickets in a close finish, while Buxted Park kept up their good run of form with a 63-run victory at Crowhurst Park.
There was another good win for Isfield, who beat Ringmer by four wickets. But, there was a heavy defeat for Newick, who crashed to 48 all out to lose by 118 runs at East Dean and Friston.
Fletching beat Scaynes Hill by seven wickets, and Rotherfield won by five wickets at Lewes St Michaels. Table-topping Nutley had a 65-run victory at Hellingly’s seconds, and Blackboys remain top of their division after a six-wicket win at Glynde and Beddingham’s third team.
Meanwhile, there were defeats for Barcombe and Plumpton and East Chiltington.
Turning to local football, in the latest pre-season friendlies, AFC Uckfield Town lost four-nil at Bearsted.
Crowborough Athletic came back from two-nil down to draw two-all with Beckenham.
