Uckfield Anderida play their first home match of the Sussex Cricket League season

They face Little Common Ramblers’ second team. Play at the Victoria Pleasure Ground begins at one o’clock.

Like Uckfield Anderida, Crowborough will be hoping to bounce back from their opening day defeat last weekend, as they visit Dicker.

Buxted Park will be looking to avenge their defeat by Crowhurst Park in the National Village Cup last Sunday, when the two teams meet in a league clash tomorrow afternoon.

Isfield go to Ringmer, while Newick host East Dean and Friston. And there are also home fixtures tomorrow for Plumpton and East Chiltington, Rotherfield and Nutley.

Sussex’s county team have the upper hand going into today’s second day of their Championship match at Leicestershire. Sussex bowled out the home side for 210 and in reply were 39 for one at the close.

Among the weekend’s local bowls action, Uckfield are away at East Grinstead, and Crowborough entertain Burgess Hill.

And in football, an in-form Brighton and Hove Albion visit relegation-threatened Leeds on Sunday afternoon in the Seagulls’ penultimate match of the Premier League season.
