Jarvis Brook have had an even better start to the season in Division 2, currently sitting top of the league, and they will look to maintain their form at home to Rustington.
Looking at the Mid Sussex Leagues now, with Rotherfield travelling to face Oxted & District, while Ridgewood will look to maintain their dominant start in the Championship, as they play away to AFC Uckfield Town 2nd's.Barcombe visit Wivelsfield Green and Fletching travel to face Preston Manor Royals, while a number of our local teams enter the Somerville Cup first round, with Buxted hosting The View, and Nutley playing away to Ifield.
There’s more than one cup for our sides this weekend however, with the Tester Cup also starting, with Plumpton Athletic away to Ridgewood 2nd’s, while Newick are at home to Royal Earlswood 2nd’s.
Lastly in the men’s football, Maresfield Village host Ardingly, with both sides having lost their opening league fixture, while Hartfield visit Hurstpierpoint 3rd’s.
In the women’s football this Sunday, Lewes continue the search for their first victory in the WSL 2 season, as they travel north to face Sheffield United, while AFC Uckfield Town enter the Sussex Women’s Challenge Trophy, as they welcome Eastbourne Borough.
In the bowls, Saturday’s fixtures sees Wealden face Grattons, and Uckfield host Haywards Heath, while on Sunday, Crowborough travel away to face Hailsham in the Horam League.
