AFC Uckfield Town have announced the appointment of a new manager
John Kirby is the new manager, following the surprise departure of Steve Ives back to Tunbridge Wells at the start of the week, with Kirby being assisted by Nick Bignell.
And the football league season is back on this weekend, with Crowborough Athletic hosting Saltdean United, and AFC Uckfield Town at home to AFC Vardenians.
The cricket is also set to resume this weekend, with Uckfield Anderida at home to Selmeston and Alciston and Crowborough hosting bottom of the league Laughton.
Buxted Park in fourth will host third placed Haywards Heath, with one point separating the teams, while Isfield visit Lewes Priory, and Plumpton & East Chiltington play bottom of the league Balcombe.
In the Division 5 East, Fletching and Barcombe will face off at the Recreation Ground, with an inform Barcombe side hoping to continue their push for the title as they currently sit in third, with eight points separating the top three.
Rotherfield are also continuing their hunt for the title in the Division 9 East, and face their biggest game of the season, as the current league leaders visit Roberstbridge's 2nd XI, while Nutley visit Bexhill's 2nd XI.
Lastly in the cricket, Blackboys visit Pevensey's 2nd XI, and Hadlow Down host Brighton & Hove's 6th XI, with the home side 11 points from first and with one game in hand.
In the bowls tomorrow, Wealden face Adur indoors, Crowborough are away to Bayham and Lamberhurst, and Uckfield will visit Eastbourne Saffrons.
