Weekend Sporting Preview

Crowborough Athletic will be looking to continue their impressive run of form tomorrow afternoon when they visit Little Common

AFC Uckfield Town will be hoping it’s a case of ‘third time lucky’, as they welcome mid-table Bexhill United to the Oaks, where the visitors have won twice in cup competitions earlier this season.

Jarvis Brook go in search of a 13th straight win, as they visit Brighton Electricity.

In the Mid Sussex League, Ridgewood travel to Hurstpierpoint.  Fletching entertain neighbours Newick, while Barcombe host Portslade Athletic.  There are also home fixtures this week for Hartfield, Maresfield and Plumpton.

In cup matches, Rotherfield are at home to Willingdon Athletic, and Nutley visit Lectern Lights.

In the Isthmian Premier Division, an in-form Lewes travel up to Essex to take on Bowers and Pitsea.

It’s one of the most eagerly anticipated matches of the season tomorrow for Brighton and Hove Albion fans, as the Seagulls make the trip to arch rivals Crystal Palace.

In women’s football, both Lewes and Brighton are in action on Sunday against Bristol City and Aston Villa respectively.

For local rugby, both our main local teams are on home soil tomorrow.  Uckfield welcome Seaford to Hempstead Fields, while Crowborough entertain Charlton Park.
