Weekend Sporting Preview

AFC Uckfield Town play the first of three successive away fixtures to finish their season. The Uckers travel tomorrow to old rivals Eastbourne Town in the Southern Combination League.

Uckfield are in action again on Easter Monday, as they visit Lingfield in an eleven o’clock kick-off.

In the Southern Counties East Premier Division, Crowborough Athletic visit Glebe tomorrow afternoon, before their final home match of the season on Easter Monday against Bearsted.

In the Mid Sussex League, it’s a crunch match tomorrow for Uckfield United, as they host Wivelsfield Green in a title decider.  Elsewhere, Nutley are away at Copthorne A.

There’s a crucial weekend ahead for Lewes’s hopes of reaching the play-offs in the Isthmian Premier Division.  Tomorrow, Lewes are at home to Kingstonian, and then visit Bognor Regis on Easter Monday.

In the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion will be aiming to make it back-to-back wins at North London clubs, as they visit Tottenham tomorrow in a 12.30 kick-off.

In tomorrow’s pre-season cricket friendlies, Uckfield Anderida are away at Hailsham’s third team, while Buxted Park entertain Crowhurst Park.

Sussex endured a tough opening day in their latest County Championship match at Derbyshire yesterday.  The home side finished on a mammoth 327 for two.

For local horse racing fans, Plumpton Racecourse stages its two-day Easter Festival meeting on Sunday and Monday afternoon, with racing due off at 2.15 pm.
