Weekend Sporting Preview

In this weekend’s Sussex Cricket League action, there’s a local derby, as Uckfield Anderida host near neighbours Crowborough.

Buxted Park are at home to Crawley Eagles.  Isfield continue their promotion push with a visit to Bells Yew Green, while Newick look to bounce back from successive defeats with a home clash against Herstmonceux.

Plumpton and East Chiltington entertain Crawley Down.  Rotherfield host league leaders Westfield.  And top-of-the-table Nutley are at home to Buxted Park’s third team.

There are away fixtures this week for Barcombe, Fletching and Blackboys.

The Sussex Sharks end their disappointing T20 Blast campaign this weekend, with home matches this evening against Essex, followed by a visit from south coast rivals Hampshire on Sunday evening.

In local football, Crowborough Athletic begin their pre-season friendly programme tomorrow afternoon with a trip to Bearsted.
