Weekend Sporting Preview

Uckfield Anderida go in search of a third consecutive victory, as they visit Dicker.

After their blank weekend last Saturday, Crowborough are back in action tomorrow with a home clash against St Peters of Brighton’s third team.

Elsewhere in the Sussex Cricket League, Buxted Park go to Glynde and Beddingham.  Isfield will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last Saturday, as they host East Dean and Friston, while Newick visit Chiddingly. 

Barcombe entertain Plumpton and East Chiltington, and Fletching are at home to Ditchling.  And there are also home fixtures this week for Nutley against league leaders Tunbridge Wells’ fourth eleven and for top-of-the-table Blackboys, who meet Mayfield’s fourth team. Rotherfield are away at Bexhill’s third team.

After back-to-back defeats in the T20 Blast, there’s an important game for the Sussex Sharks this evening, as they take on Gloucestershire at the County Ground Hove.  Sussex then revert to Championship action on Sunday morning, when they begin a four-day game against Glamorgan at Cardiff.

Among the weekend’s local bowls action, Uckfield face Ringmer on Sunday afternoon in the Horam League.
