Weekend Sport Preview

Plenty of cricket action, an exciting weekend for Uckfield Bowls Club and a familiar face is back at AFC Uckfield Town.

Sussex Sharks fell to a disappointing defeat in the T20 Blast to Essex on Thursday night, narrowly losing by 25 runs after being unable to catch the visitors 163 total, as the Sharks will look to bounce back in their two matches over the weekend, with Hampshire next up on Saturday.

Uckfield Anderida will be hoping to extend their gap at the top of the table, as they host Bells Yew Green’s 2nd XI, with Crowborough travelling to midtable Westfield.

Buxted Park will be hosting Hastings & St Leonards Priory, Plumpton & East Chiltington travel to top of the table St Matthias and Isfield are travelling to face Hastings & St Leonards Priory’s 2nd XI.

In Division Five East action, Barcombe are away to East Dean & Friston, Newick will host Pett, and Fletching will host Heathfield Park as both sides search for their first wins of the season.

Nutley are visiting top of the table Hailsham’s 3rd XI, Rotherfield are at home to Tunbridge Wells Borderers, Blackboys are away to Polegate & Stone Cross 2nd XI, and Hadlow Down are at home to St James's Montefiore’s 4th XI.

It’s set to be an exciting weekend for the Uckfield Bowls club, as they welcome Speldhurst on Saturday, before hosting the Fred King Cup on Sunday.

Crowborough are away in both of their matches this weekend, as they travel to The Grove on Saturday, before visiting Ringmer for their Horam League action.

In football, AFC Uckfield Town have announced that a familiar face is returning to The Oaks, as Steve Ives is back as First Team Manager.
