The weekend saw an amazing first victory of the season for Crowborough at home to Mayfield’s third team.
Having posted a massive 315 batting first, Crowborough skittled out the visitors for just 33, with Finn Alexander taking seven for 21.
There was also a first win of the season for Uckfield Anderida. An unbeaten 105 from Kevin Morton helped them to a 77-run victory at Tunbridge Wells Borderers.
Elsewhere in the Sussex Cricket League, there was a big win for Buxted Park, who beat Seaford by 178 runs.
Isfield beat Pett by five wickets, while Newick suffered a narrow 13-run defeat at Bexhill’s second team.
There was a good win for Blackboys, who beat Bells Yew Green’s third team by 165 runs.
Meanwhile, there were wins also for Barcombe, Plumpton and East Chiltington, Rotherfield and Nutley.
Tt’s the last day today of Sussex’s county team’s friendly against New Zealand at the County Ground Hove. The tourists resume this morning with a lead of 135, having bowled out Sussex yesterday for 247.
