An award-winning alarm and sensor system that can indicate potential issues with humidity and air quality as well as excess cold or heat is being installed in Wealden District Council homes.
Aico’s HomeLINK Connected Home Solution will be installed in 150 properties across the district to improve housing quality.
The environmental sensors can also indicate mould risk and energy efficiency, and this data can then be reviewed in the HomeLINK Portal to assist the council in management and managing issues proactively.
The HomeLINK App for Residents is available for households to keep track of and improve their environment.
Councillor Ray Cade, portfolio holder for Housing, said, “Aico HomeLINK Connected Home Solution is being installed in 150 council homes so far. It allows us to be more effective in keeping our tenants safer and healthier.
“It is encouraging news that it has been such a success and we will be expanding the system to more of our council properties in due course."
