The Weald on the Field event on Saturday 13 August in Uckfield was more popular than ever despite the hot weather warning. Organisers arranged for a larger marquee and supplies of hand gel, and sun cream were available, along with access to a water fountain in the adjacent Civic Centre. The crowd turned out in force!
There were artisan crafts, street food, pop-up bars, children’s entertainment and a fantastic music line-up from local bands. The music acts played from midday and got everyone dancing or tapping their feet. Pentacle Drummers, Megan Tweed, The Management Duo, Iron Tyger, Fat Freddie And The Queens and Max White and his band, absolutely rocked the Airstream Stage and brought entertainment to those watching.
Uckfield Town Council and Food Rocks, who organise this free event would like to thank everyone who made it such a fantastic day. We are looking forward to next year’s event which will take place in August 2023 – watch this space for a confirmed date!
