It is with profound sadness that the Councillors and Officers of Uckfield Town Council have learned of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Book of Condolence
From Friday 9 September, a book of condolence will be open within the Civic Centre, Uckfield for people wishing to send their condolences to the Royal Family.
This will be available between the hours of 0900hours to 1700hours Monday to Friday, and between the hours of 0900 and 12noon on Saturday and Sunday. The Civic Centre is located just off Civic Approach, Uckfield, TN22 1AE.
Flowers
For those of you wishing to lay flowers, there is a dedicated area to do so, and this is against the wall directly opposite the front of the Civic Centre, Uckfield. Please note that flowers should be unwrapped.
Proclamation of the new King
After the Proclamation has been read by the High Sheriff at County Hall in Lewes at 1.00pm on Saturday 10 September 2022, local dignitaries and members of the public are invited to the reading of a local Proclamation for Uckfield at 5.30pm by the flagpole outside the Civic Centre.
