Wealden MP Nus Ghani has visited the school to congratulate them on the achievement.
The school opened in 1985 and is open to all children from 2 to school age. The school was graded as outstanding by Ofsted in all areas including quality of education, behaviour, personal development and leadership.
Along with congratulating the team, Nus also discussed their concerns over maintenance costs and funding.
Nus Ghani said: "Early years education is crucial to giving every child the best start in life and I was pleased to visit Mayfield Preschool to meet its fantastic team who work hard to create a safe and happy environment for our children. I am pleased that the Government is committed to improving the quality of early years education and I welcome the Chancellor's announcement of significant new investments to expand the free early education entitlements as part of the Spring Budget. Mayfield preschool has a rare opening of some places from September, so I would like to encourage parents from Mayfield and the surrounding villages not to miss the opportunity to be part of this outstanding school and pay them a visit to find out more."
