Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has met with the Ashdown Forest CEO, James Adler, to discuss future plans to ensure that the Forest continues to thrive.
James Adler became Chief Executive Officer of the Ashdown Forest in January 2021. He leads a team to deliver the Forest’s management, works closely with the Conservators and has the overall responsibility for the direction, protection, and conservation of Ashdown Forest. Nusrat has been working closely with James and was pleased to meet to get an update on the strategic direction of the Forest and the impact of the wide range of environmental protections currently in place for the Forest.
Nusrat Ghani said: “The Ashdown Forest is the jewel of Wealden countryside, and it is my privilege to represent it in Parliament. Looking after the Forest and ensuring we maintain a healthy, clean and vibrant heathland is of critical importance and I continue to work closely with the Ashdown Forest Conservators and James on making representations to my colleagues at the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to ensure that this treasured piece of our countryside is protected.”
