The popular eatery on Uckfield's High Street has been gutted after a huge blaze
An investigation is currently underway after a huge fire broke out at Maximum Diner on Uckfield's High Street earlier this week. The owners of the business have taken to social media to share the news that they were broken into, which unfortunately resulted in a fire at the premises.
They have stated that the popular restaurant will be closed for a while, until they can rebuild and make the premises safe.
Diner owner Mustafa Gurol 41, has said that he and his family are devastated by what has happened. As a family, they have owned the diner for 23 years and are an established part of the Uckfield community.
It is reported that it will cost over £30,000 to get the business up and running again.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant information such as CCTV or mobile phone footage is asked to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 78 of 27/02.
