A public exhibition will be held at Uckfield Civic Centre on February 28 from 3pm and March 1 from 10am
The site muted for development is on the western side of the A22. The proposal was first considered in 2023, but locals were concerned about the lack of infrastructure and it's location.
Fairfax have stated that some new homes will be offered as 'affordable housing' and they will include the building of shops, community spaces, mobility hubs and working areas.
It would also offer warden controlled living accommodation and a primary school with early years provision as well as allotments.
Locals are concerned that the local road network cannot take the increase in traffic, along with existing problems with water and sewage for housing in Wealden that have not been resolved.
