In the aftermath of the distressing attack on Peacehaven Mosque, they have created an online card for local people to share messages of solidarity and support with the mosque community.
This provides a collective space for people to share their feelings and reach out to those affected by the fire.
The card has garnered a significant response with nearly 100 posts of support already made, demonstrating a powerful message of solidarity and resilience.
The messages reflect the community's shock and profound sadness at the attack with many contributors making clear this act does not represent the values of our diverse and inclusive community.
Others wish the mosque community strength and peace during the rebuilding process.
Anyone wishing to help with the cost of repairs and rebuilding can donate at: www.gofundme.com/f/rebuilding-stronger-after-the-recent-arson-attack
Lewes District Council stands in solidarity with Peacehaven Mosque and we will never accept violence or intimidation towards any of our neighbours.
