HMV store in Eastbourne closes tomorrow

It has been announced that the popular HMV store at The Beacon will shut it's doors tomorrow

The closure follows a failure to reach a "commercially viable" agreement to extend the lease with the landlord. However, the retailer has confirmed it is actively seeking a new location within the town.

Closing Date: January 3, 2026.
Reason for Closure: Expiry of the lease and unsuccessful negotiations regarding new terms at the current site.
Future Outlook: An HMV spokesperson stated they hope to reopen at a new outlet in Eastbourne in the "near future".
Current Status: Staff have reportedly informed customers that the closure is intended to be temporary while new premises are secured.
