Customers of South East Water are being given a say on the company’s five year investment programme at a virtual meeting on 6 June chaired by its Chief Executive Officer David Hinton.
The drinking water only provider, that supplies 2.3 million people across parts of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire, will present its plans covering 2025 to 2030 and answer any questions.
The meeting, ‘Your water, your say’ is part of a national conversation about water supported by the industry’s regulator Ofwat and CCW (Consumer Council for Water). The session from 2pm to 4pm will be run by an independent facilitator appointed by Ofwat.
David Hinton said: “Although we are constantly talking to our customers and stakeholders about our plans and what is important to them, this virtual meeting will give them another platform to air their views on how we are doing and if we are heading in the right direction.
“Their questions could cover the future service they wish us to provide, our plans for the environment, their water bill or any other topic that is important to them and of course us.”
Customers can find more details and how to register by visiting www.southeastwater.co.uk/ywys. Written questions can be emailed in advance to CCW at yourwateryoursay@ccwater.org.uk.
Customers that have no online access can attend a series of hub locations across South East Water’s supply area and details of the venues can be obtained by calling 0333 000 0114.
As South East Water provides drinking water only, its customers receive waste water services from either Southern Water or Thames Water. Both companies are running similar events with details on their websites.
