Hailsham Post Office staff extend their warmest seasonal greetings to customers and offering their best wishes for a happy and healthy Christmas.
Steph Stephens, Manager of the Post Office which opened in July 2019, expressed appreciation for the continued support shown by the community. Steph noted that six and a half years after opening, the branch remains firmly established as an essential service for residents.
“On behalf of the entire team at Hailsham Post Office, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a positive start to 2026,” said Steph. “We have had another strong year and I am grateful for the ongoing encouragement from customers who value both our staff and the wide range of services we provide to residents and businesses, including banking services and the temporary accommodation of the Hailsham Banking Hub.”
Town Clerk and Postmaster John Harrison praised the continued success of the high street branch. “The post office has gone from strength to strength since reopening in 2019. More than six years later, residents still express their appreciation for the Town Council’s decision to take on the franchise and preserve this important community facility. I would like to thank customers and my colleagues at the post office for their continued support.”
Mr Harrison also highlighted the significance of the banking services currently offered. “The availability of banking services at the post office and the opening of the Hailsham Banking Hub on site last March have been extremely valuable, particularly given the recent closures of local bank branches. The hub will continue to operate from the post office until permanent premises are secured.”
