The annual music event, raising money for St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne is back on 19th - 21st July 2024 at Nash Street Chiddingly
Ashdown Radio is once again proud to be presenting Chiddfest 2024 at Nash Street, Chiddingly on the weekend of 19th - 21st July.
The event, which is billed as one of the biggest music events in Sussex, draws in a crowd of thousands into the arena over the 3 days and raises vital funds for St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne.
Already announced to perform this year are:-
Turin Brakes. They are an English band, comprising original duo of Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, and long-term collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer. They had a UK top 5 hit in 2003 with their song "Painkiller". Since starting out in 1999, the band have sold around one million records worldwide.
The Blow Monkeys were formed in 1981. Their first single, "Live Today Love Tomorrow", was released in 1982. They subsequently enjoyed a successful career with several hit singles and albums throughout the 1980s before splitting up at the beginning of the 1990s. Their first hit song was Digging Your Scene.
Los Pacaminos Featuring Paul Young is a Tex-Mex band that was formed by pop star Paul Young in 1992 during a break in his music career. The band originally consisted of six members, including guitarist Jamie Moses, accordion/keyboard player Matt Irving, songwriter Drew Barfield, bassist Steve Greetham, and drummer Mark Pinder. They played their first gig at a local pub in Richmond in November of that year and continued to perform together, growing tighter as friends and musicians with each show.
Dario G is the stage name of English musician Paul Spencer born 19th May 1971. Dario G was originally a trio, who are best known for their 1997 hit "Sunchyme", which reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart
Ashdown Radio's Programme Director and host of The Ryan Millns Breakfast Show, will once again be on the microphone alongside other presenters to keep the party jumping across the weekend. You can be sure of great giveaways and watch out for the return of Kiss-Cam!
