The blaze occurred at the junction of Winchelsea Road and Wartling Road in Eastbourne.
One fire appliance from the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service deployed a single pump to tackle the fire.
No injuries were reported, though the van sustained severe damage.

Authorities are treating the incident as suspected arson.
Officers conducted door-to-door enquiries and are currently reviewing local CCTV footage.
This marks the second vehicle fire on this exact stretch of road within two weeks, following a separate suspected arson incident on Wartling Road on 7 June.
