Dame all set for the stage

The entrepreneur behind this December's Brighton Family Panto says he can't wait to be performing in Jack and the Beanstalk.

David Hill - best known as the founder of E3 Events in Hove - has been producing the city's panto each year since 2017.

But last year he took to the stage as well as the Dame in Sleeping Beauty after the sudden death of the very popular Brighton figure Jason Sutton.

He's back for 2025 playing Dame Camilla Trott at The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole on the seafront between December 23-30.

David said: "We cannot wait to get on that stage at 2pm on Tuesday next (December 23). We have had to add an extra show because tickets have been selling so well.

"It is going to be a fabulous panto for the residents of Brighton and Hove and beyond, please come and see us.

"We were all absolutely devastated when we lost Jason last year - he is simply irreplaceable - but we realised that the show had to go on.

"And go on it did. It was a very successful panto last year, and it's looking very promising for this year.

"It's a shorter run but that won't matter. We will deliver an absolutely first-class panto in such an amazing venue.

"We have a hugely talented and diverse cast - it's a privilege to be working with such great performers - oh yes it is."

There are 16 performances, including two on Christmas Eve - one at 11am and one at 3pm - and two on Boxing Day, at 2pm and then 5.30pm.

There are three shows on Saturday December 27 and a further three on Sunday December 28.

Please note there are two Adult Only shows - Sunday December 28 at 8pm and Tuesday December 30 at 7pm.

There is also a Signed performance on the Monday at 7pm.
