LEWES disctrict Council are inviting feedback on our updated Statement of Gambling Principles.
As a licensing authority, Lewes District Council is required every three years to publish a statement of the principles it proposes to apply in exercising its functions under the Gambling Act 2005.
The proposed changes in the Statement relate to requiring licensed premises to carry out age verification test purchases, checking the age of any customer who appear to be under 25 years of age, and the updating of the Risk Assessment requirements to include minimum criteria for such assessments.
Thye Council are inviting comments from residents, businesses and partner organisations on the proposedchanges.
This consultation will stay open until Thursday 6 February 2025 at 5pm.
