Wealden District Council will be providing help with applications and funding at the next 'Benefits Day' event on Thursday 27 October.
Pre-booking is not required at the event at Uckfield Civic Centre and there will be officers on hand to discuss and help make an application for the following schemes, where relevant:
- Household Support Fund – for help with energy and food costs
- Council Tax Energy Rebate – for help with energy payments
- Council Tax Reduction – a reduction on Council Tax charges
Councillor Neil Waller, Wealden’s portfolio holder for Benefits, said, “We’re pleased to host another Benefits Day following the success of one held in August.
“This Benefits Day is aimed at helping those in the north of district, but all Wealden residents are welcome to attend. It is vital that residents receive the support that they are entitled to, and our officers at the open day will help and support them where possible.”
