Eastbourne Borough fell to a 3-1 defeat against promotion hopefuls Weston-Super-Mare, as Tommy Widdringtons side see their gap to safety stay at four points. 

Elsewhere, Lewes suffered a heavy 6-1 loss to second place Aveley, while Crowborough Athletic conceded in the 96th minute to draw 2-2 with VCD Athletic.

In the Southern Combinations, AFC Uckfield Town saw their tie against Billinghurst at The Oaks called off, as was Jarvis Brooks match with Loxwood.

While in the cups, Ridgewood won on penalties to progress in the Mid Sussex Junior Challenge Cup against Athletico Redhill, as Buxted also beat Worthing Town Reserves on penalties to make it through in the Sussex Junior Challenge Cup.

Lastly in football,  Nutley came out on top in their clash with Newick, winning 4-3, as they find themselves in second, two points behind their league leaders, while Maresfield Village lost 7-3 to Marle Park Wanderers.

Finally in men’s rugby, Crowborough secured a 21-12 victory over Ashford, with Heathfield & Waldron beating Dover 29-22 to remain third in the standings, while Uckfield were unable to overcome an inform Burgess Hill side, losing 41-14.
