Eastbourne Borough are gearing up for their first match since the departure of manager Matt Gray, when they play Boreham Wood at home in the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup this afternoon, with a win securing Eastbourne’s place in the first round of the cup for the first time since 2020.

 

Elsewhere, Lewes are away to Chichester City in the league, with The Rooks looking to recover from back to back cup exits, and also climb up the league table, where they currently find themselves in seventh.

 

In the Southern Combinations Leagues, AFC Uckfield Town will welcome a midtable Oakwood to The Oaks, while Jarvis Brook play at home against bottom of the league Copthorne.

 

Over to the Mid Sussex Leagues, Rotherfield will host Bosham in the Sussex Intermediate Challenge Cup, as Ridgewood travel to face Buxted, looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the league.

 

Meanwhile, Nutley are at home against Montpellier Villa, with Newick finally getting their league season underway with a visit to third in the league Sovereign Saints 2nd’s. 

 

Lastly in the men’s, Maresfield Village will welcome Keymer & Hassocks, while Plumpton Athletic travel to play a midtable Marle Park Wanderers side, as Hartfield visit Cuckfield Town Development in the Malins Cup.

 

Now in women’s football, Lewes will host Cardiff City at the Dripping Pan tomorrow, with The Rooks knowing that all three points will see them leapfrog their opponents up into fifth in the standings.

 

Over to the men’s rugby now, Heathfield & Waldron can make it four wins from four when they visit Deal & Betteshanger, while Crowborough play away against Park House, with Uckfield at home against the Horsham Barbarians, as Newick travel to face Littlehampton.

 

Finally in women’s rugby on Sunday, Heathfield & Waldron will visit top of their league Battersea.
