Elsewhere, AFC Uckfield Town suffered a 5-0 defeat versus Billinghurst, while Jarvis Brook recovered to draw 1-1 with Loxwood.
In the Mid Sussex Leagues, Rotherfield claimed a 2-1 victory against Reigate Priory Reserves to climb up to eighth, while Ridgewood managed to beat Horsted Keynes 8-3, with Aaron Stimson scoring five, as Barcombe earned a strong 4-0 win against Brighton & Sussex Medical School.
Meanwhile, Nutley exited the Mid Sussex Junior Charity Cup, drawing 1-1 in regular time with Ifield, before losing the shootout 4-3 , while Newick exited the Malins Cup after a 2-0 defeat against Cuckfield 2nd’s.
Lastly in the men’s, Hartfield fell to a narrow 3-2 loss versus The View, as Plumpton Athletic were held to a 1-1 draw with Ditchling, while Maresfield Village lost 4-0 to Southwick in the Parsons Cup.
Now in women’s football, Lewes came agonisingly close to securing a deserved point against their league leaders, conceding in the 89th minute to lose 2-1 against Bournemouth.

Finally in the women’s rugby, Heathfield & Waldron’s earned their first win of the season in their 22-12 match against Hackney, as Uckfield fell to a heavy 60-12 defeat against Guernsey.
