80s heart-throb Jason Donovan to star in Eastbourne's Rocky Horror Show

Music artist and Neighbours legend, Jason Donovan will be appearing in Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show from 19 – 23 May 2026 at The Congress Theatre, Eastbourne.

It’s been announced that Australian superstar Jason Donovan will be coming to Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre in Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show, from 19 – 23 May 2026. 

Jason reprises his iconic role as the captivating Frank-n-Furter across the UK, following a sold-out Australian Tour in 2024. 

The show comes to Eastbourne as part of a new world tour. Having been seen by over 35 million theatregoers, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two squeaky clean college kids – Brad and his fiancée Janet. When by a twist of fate, their car breaks down outside a creepy mansion whilst on their way to visit their former college professor, they meet the charismatic Dr Frank-n-Furter. What follows is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.  

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, The Rocky Horror Show is the biggest party and features timeless classics, including Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet, and of course, the pelvic thrusting showstopping Time Warp.  

Neighbours icon and pop legend Jason Donovan will be donning his fishnets for Eastbourne audiences after a sellout season at the Theatre Royal, Sydney for which he received rave reviews. Jason made his West End debut in 1991 playing Joseph in the London revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and has gone on to have a hugely successful stage career with credits including Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Grease The Musical.His debut album went platinum in Australia and was the biggest selling album in the UK in 1989. Since then, he has sold over 13 million albums worldwide and continues to tour with his live show.  

The Rocky Horror Show celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2023, it first opened atthe Royal Court Theatre, London in June 1973, and has gone on to become the longest continuous run of a contemporary musical anywhere in the world, being seen worldwide in more than 30 countries and translated into 20 languages.  

 Without a doubt the Rocky Horror Show is as iconic as it gets, embedded in pop culture this promises to deliver a guaranteed party that leaps off the stage and transcends into the audience.
