Enjoy a delightful evening of summer themed choral music with it's roots in British folk music. You'll be treated to guest appearances from a young talented flautist, and local organist/pianist, Christopher Harris as well as the stunning 1839 Consort delighting you with their distinctive and beautiful choral sound. The programme will include Vaughan William's tour-de-force "Five Mystical Songs" featuring bass baritone Jake McQuitty, and Patrick Hadley's "My beloved Spake" as well as folksongs including The Turtle Dove, I Love my Love, Carrickfergus, My love is like a Red Red Rose, and many more. 1839 Consort is highly acclaimed, much in demand and has been delighting audiences for the last 10 years. Ticket price includes interval refreshments.
