Talk in Bridge Cottage by Chris Horlock

More Information (Ashdown Radio is not responsible for external websites)

Making a welcome return to Bridge Cottage, Chris Horlock will give a wide-ranging mix of little-known Sussex history, featuring people, places and events from many periods. Included are US President Kennedy's brief visit to Forest Row, the remarkable Sir John Gage of Firle, one time Constable of the Tower of London, plus prosecutor Lord Shawcross and his involvement with Crawley's 'Acid Bath Murderer' John Haigh. Banoffee Pie gets a mention, and the talk ends with the story of Sussex's most unusual war memorial - a branch from a South African tree.
Please book tickets in advance, using our website or by calling Bridge Cottage.
