In August, instead of our monthly local history talk, Uckfield Heritage invites you to take part in a local history walk. This will once again be led by Brian Phillips, who has an extensive knowledge of Uckfield's past.
This walk will explore the Framfield Road area, looking at traces of mills and other industries, as well as influences of the Crimean War, all evidence from just before this area was developed.
The walk will last about one hour, along fairly level ground.
No need to book - just turn up at Bridge Cottage ready to leave at 7-00 pm.
