free, community event. To include sewing, knitting and craft. Enabling social interaction, inspiration & chance to get free stuff for projects. Inclusive.
**first of its kind in Uckfield, probably East Sussex** aim is for inclusion, bringing folk together & sustainability**
Kick start your next craft or sewing project by bringing along your unwanted supplies, and enjoy a stash refresh! You can rehome and swap any new craft bits, sewing fabric, haberdashery, and new sewing patterns in exchange for things that may be perfect for your next project. Not only will you have some fresh inspiration, source some new gems, but the swap is kind to the planet (and your wallet) a win, win! Everybody is welcome to join in the swapping. Don’t forget to bring a bag to carry home your new stash.

Unused Fabric- Please label with width & length.

Haberdashery, knitting yarn & sewing thread

How it works
Tickets are free on Eventbrite.
You may donate your unwanted items in advance by contacting Karen on: sewcraftswap@gmail.com or bring them along on the day. The longer you spend at the destash swap the more choice of items you will see coming in, so keep your eyes peeled!
Hosts: we are running this event in collaboration with the Uckfield Divas WI group. A great asset to our community that brings like minded women together to meet up at least once a month, making new friends, sharing interests and exploring new ideas.

Conveniently situated in the heart of the town, the Civic Centre sits just off the high street with a free adjacent public car park with 3 hour & 10 hour free parking bays.
Access- there is disability access to the Civic Centre.
Refreshments such as hot drinks, sandwiched, lite bites & cake are available at the civic centre until 3pm
Left over stock:
Will be donated to Hospice In The Weald charity.
