Brahms' Requiem is a highly personal and humanist reflection on life and death. There is an overiding sense of hope in this piece despite it being named 'Requiem'.
The piece comprises seven movements of the most sublime, masterful music which New Sussex Singers are presenting with the less usual accompaniment of piano duet, played by prominent Sussex musicians, Julian Broughton and Howard Beach.
We are lucky to be joined by guest singers in the choir as well as soloists Jennifer Witton, soprano and Andrew Davies, baritone, both regular Glyndebourne singers amongst many other accolades.
Come join us on 15th November at 7pm for a wonderful concert and an opportunity to hear a more intimate reading of this giant of the choral repertoire.
