If you’ve ever considered joining a new community, getting involved with local conservation in an important way, or building your CV and network... this event is for you!
Come along to the Ashdown Forest Centre, chat to our team and our volunteers, and enjoy a look around this picturesque setting with some free lemonade and snacks. No commitment is involved, and should you wish to sign up, there’s no minimum (or maximum!) period for which you must volunteer. It fits into any schedule, allowing for maximum flexibility and life balance.
Volunteering opportunities currently include:
- Welcoming visitors to the Information Barn at the Forest Centre in Wych Cross (weekdays and weekends) - Joining Conservation workgroups out on the Forest doing practical conservation work (weekdays and weekends) - Support our weekend staff as a Volunteer Ranger, helping visitors with general questions about Ashdown Forest, weekend events, heathland conservation and operations (weekends) - Check on our sheep, cattle and ponies to ensure their health and wellbeing as they carry out their important conservation grazing work (weekends)
